Editing--Beautiful Story Telling
Storytelling is at the heart of any good film. I work with people to help them tell their stories more effectively through both complete editing of their projects as well as working on individual aspects of a project to improve its overall quality. In fact I edited a documentary that was nominated as Best Documentary in the Detroit Film Festival. I can help you tell your best story.
Below are some ways in which I can add value to your production--either as part of fully editing your piece or providing a particular service for your project. I can give your footage the finished quality that good color correction can bring. I can provide appropriate motion graphics for titles and key concepts of an instructional project. I can also put together a complete motion graphics piece to bring your message home. I can also create special effects such as lightning, animated maps, throwing fireballs, removing background objects, and simply blurring out the face of someone in the scene may be needed to tell your story. Look below for more about how I can help, or contact me to talk about your project.
I work with color to bring out the beauty in your footage and create a look that builds the mood of your story. Everything I do is designed to pull your audience in. Sometimes color grading helps us achieve a dramatic flair or to change the time of day in a scene. Other times we can use color grading to enhance the overall mood of a scene or look of the film.
Motion graphics can bring zing and interest to your project with the use of everything from animated titles and maps. We can also create a full piece using motion graphics to share your message.
Special effects such as lightning, animated maps, throwing fireballs, removing background objects, and simply blurring out the face of someone in the scene may be needed to tell your story. I can provide all of those and help you place a good backdrop behind your green screen footage.
We can create a custom master disc or file for DVD duplication that includes attractive menus and chapters with motion backgrounds to fit the feel of your project whether it is for submission to film festivals, an instructional dvd, or to be deployed across your company.
Usually sound can be improved by removing noise/hum from sound files, balancing levels across the project, and using EQ to bring out a particular speaker or sound. Incidental music and sound effects often offer that final finish to your project. I have even helped people remove a chirp from a cell phone.
